Eric Lohnes joins AWB as government affairs director for tax, fiscal policy
Public policy expert brings legislative affairs, private-sector background to Washington’s largest business organization
OLYMPIA — The Association of Washington Business (AWB) has hired policy analyst and public policy expert Eric Lohnes (pron: low-ness) to serve as the government affairs director for tax and fiscal policy. This hire rounds out the staff of six as the association gears up for the 2016 legislative session
With nearly a decade in public policy experience, Lohnes comes to AWB from the state Senate where he focused on health care and insurance policy. He has also worked on housing and tax issues along with serving as the senior economic policy analyst at the Freedom Foundation.

Lohnes received his undergraduate degrees in English and philosophy from Middle Tennessee State University and earned a Masters of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College.
