AWB Endorses 14 Legislative Candidates

Candidates earn automatic endorsement based on AWB voting record

OLYMPIA — Fourteen members of the Washington State Legislature who are seeking reelection have earned automatic endorsements from the Association of Washington Business (AWB). The endorsements are based on the lawmakers’ voting record on issues of significance to employers.

“All of Washington thrives when our lawmakers create a supportive environment for job creators and entrepreneurs,” AWB President Kris Johnson said. “Our economy works best when our lawmakers understand and carefully consider the impact new state laws and regulations will have on our employers, employees and communities. The men and women we endorsed today have consistently supported a strong private sector for urban and rural Washington.”

Incumbents with an 80 percent or higher voting record with the association receive an automatic endorsement. AWB’s complete 2018 Voting Record will be available later this summer.
