Windermere chief economist to speak at Policy Summit

Matthew Gardner, chief economist at Windermere Real Estate, will discuss state and national real estate trends during his breakfast keynote address at the 2017 AWB Policy Summit.

Matthew Gardner, chief economist at Windermere Real Estate, will give the breakfast keynote address at the 2017 AWB Policy Summit.

Gardner analyzes and interprets economic data and its impact on the real estate market on both a local and national level. He is the former Principal of Gardner Economics, and has over 28 years of professional experience both in the U.S. and U.K.

Gardner, who chairs the Board of Trustees at the Washington Center for Real Estate Research at the University of Washington, writes frequently on Northwest and national economic and real estate issues. He is also a frequent contributor to Windermere's "Economics 101" series of videos, including a recent look at the impact of the retiring Baby Boomer generation on housing prices and an explainer on why millennials are slow to enter the housing market.

He will discuss the economy, the latest real estate trends, and more during the three-day Policy Summit, held at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum.

This year's Policy Summit will feature dozens of other insightful and influential speakers, including a new focus this year on federal issues that will bring members of Congress together with business leaders at the state's biggest annual employer-focuses public policy meeting.
