Alan Mulally to present keynote address at AWB Policy Summit
Alan Mulally, named one of "The World's Most Influential People" by TIME magazine and "Chief Executive of the Year" by Chief Executive Magazine, will give the keynote address at this year's Policy Summit Sept. 15-17 at the Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum.
Mulally has strong ties to Washington and to the national economy. He was president and chief executive officer of The Ford Motor Company from 2006 to 2014, where he "is widely seen as the man behind one of the most impressive corporate turnarounds in history."
Previously, he was executive vice president of The Boeing Company, as well as president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and president of Boeing Information, Space and Defense Systems. He joined Boeing in 1969 and during his nearly 37-year career there he contributed to the company's signature models, from the 727 up through the 787.
He currently serves on the board of directors of Google and on President Barack Obama's United States Export Council. He has been co-chairman of the Washington Competitiveness Council and has served on the University of Washington advisory board, among many others. He is a member of the United States National Academy of Engineering and a fellow of England's Royal Academy of Engineering.
Mulally will join other state and national innovators at Policy Summit. Register now for your opportunity to connect with other employers and community leaders. It's also a good time to book your room at the Suncadia Resort. Some attendees last year had to lodge elsewhere and wished they'd reserved earlier. To ensure you have space at Suncadia (and save some money at the same time), call 866.904.6300 and ask for AWB's discounted rate.
It's also a good time to become a sponsor for this year's Policy Summit. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Contact Stephanie Hemphill at 800.521.9325 to learn more.
