MEDIA ADVISORY: AWB Policy Summit Kicks Off Sept. 19

Three-day program will feature federal updates from members of Congress, panel discussions on state issues and trade policy, and a keynote address from former CEO of HP Carly Fiorina

OLYMPIA — State and federal leaders will join Washington employers, college presidents and others at the Association of Washington Business’s 28th annual Policy Summit Sept. 19-21 at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum.

This year’s Policy Summit begins with an expanded federal issues agenda that includes discussions about infrastructure and tax and trade policy. U.S. Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell will wrap up the three-day event by speaking Thursday morning.

Other speakers include Chris Reykdal, the state Superintendent of Public Instruction, consuls from Mexico and Canada and leaders from the employer community discussing issues ranging from education funding and climate policy to tax and fiscal issues and employment and labor policies.
