AWB to host lieutenant governor debate June 14
Candidates vying to replace long-time Lieutenant Gov. Brad Owen to take questions at association’s annual Spring Meeting in Spokane
OLYMPIA —At least seven candidates running for the lieutenant governor’s office this fall will present their arguments to a sold-out crowd June 14. The debate, co-hosted by Greater Spokane Incorporated, will take place at the Association of Washington Business’ annual Spring Meeting in Spokane.
All 11 candidates have been invited; confirmed debate participants include:
- Paul Addis, Libertarian Party
- Javier Figueroa, Republican Party
- Cyrus Habib, Democratic Party
- Steve Hobbs, Democratic Party
- Marty McClendon, Republican Party
- Bill Penor, Republican Party
- Phillip Yin, Republican Party
Doors open promptly at 2:20 p.m. and the 90-minute event begins at 2:45 p.m. The panel of debate moderators is still being vetted, but will be announced prior to the event.
