House Demoncratic Majority Leader Pat Sullivan was first elected to the state House of Representatives in 2004. He serves on the House Appropriations and House Rules committees. As a long-time member of the Education Committee, he sponsored bipartisan legislation in 2009 and 2010 that make up the basis of the state Supreme Court’s 2012 McCleary education funding ruling. Prior to joining the House, He served as the first mayor of Covington and worked for both King County and the Legislature prior to his role in the House.
