News of Boeing’s planned purchase of a subcontractor’s facilities and operations in South Carolina sent a cold chill through our entire state this week. This acquisition could increase the chances that Boeing will develop a second line of the 787 outside of Washington. If that happens, it could begin a production exodus that would plague our state for decades.
