For 23 years now, the Association of Washington Business has been making holiday dreams come true for area families in need through the Holiday Kids’ Tree Project.
The holidays are especially difficult for families who cannot provide gifts and food for their children, particularly in rural areas. That’s why AWB is again partnering with firefighters in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Thurston, Grant, Walla Walla and Spokane counties to provide donations to families in need. Emergency responders see the need in their communities every day. Donations from this project are the often only funds fire departments and emergency responders receive to help families during the holiday season.
This year, a 25-foot Noble fir will be placed in the rotunda of our state Capitol Building in Olympia for a public tree lighting ceremony sponsored by AWB member Rayonier. Please join us for this annual holiday event on Friday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. where it has become a tradition for the governor, fire departments, families and the community to come together for this festive event.
All contributions and toys/food collected go directly to the families and your gift is tax deductible – 501(c)(3) 91-2140837.

These donations are entirely funded by the private sector—from AWB members and private individuals. Please join us in sponsoring this Christmas project again this year.
