Government Affairs Council to meet Nov. 18 at AWB

AWB's Government Affairs Council will hear from Rep. Ross Hunter, D-Medina; Sen. Andy Hill, R-Redmond; Rep. Reuven Carlyle, D-Seattle, and top leaders from the governor's office during the 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. meeting Nov. 18 at AWB. Lunch is available for $20. Contact Connie Grande to reserve your spot.

AWB Climate Committee to meet Dec. 2

The AWB Climate Committee will meet Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 9 a.m. to discuss policy ideas that can be part of AWB's climate legislative package. Contact Brandon Houskeeper to submit policy ideas or learn more.

Legislative health care leaders to attend Dec. 4 AWB Health Care Committee meeting

State waves goodbye to R&D tax incentive

Beginning in January, Washington state will become one of just a handful of states in the country that doesn't offer private employers some kind of a tax incentive to promote research and development activities.

That's because a pair of tax incentives created back 1994 are set to expire at the end of this year, despite attempts during the last legislative session to extend them.
