California billionaire targets Sens. Andy Hill and Steve O'Ban

After pledging $100 million to elect pro-environment candidates across the nation, California environmental activist Tom Steyer has given $1 million to Washington Democrats, several media outlets have reported.

Steyer's political action committee, NextGen Climate, said it would target Sen. Steve O'Ban and Sen. Andy Hill. Those two races could tip control of the Senate, which is currently controlled by a bipartisan coalition.

The Puget Sound Business Journal, Associated Press and Seattle Times have stories on Steyer's push to steer Washington's elections.
