U.S. Rep. Derek Kilmer Becomes Vice Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee

Congressman Derek Kilmer, D-WA, is the new vice ranking minority member on the House Appropriations Committee. The House Democratic Caucus created new vice ranking member positions on each standing committee to help newer members gain better insights and contribute to the committee process.

In this position, Kilmer will be the committee's designated liaison to the Democratic Budget Group and the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.

“This opportunity puts me in a better position to stand up for quality jobs and education opportunities, honoring our commitment to those who serve, and ensuring a secure retirement remains in reach for everyone,” Kilmer said.

The public benefits from such corporate citizens providing thoughtful and supportive engagement on critical policy issues.
