Strategic Plan approved: New Mission, Vision and rebranding moving forward

The AWB board of directors unanimously approved a new Strategic Plan during AWB’s 2016 Legislative Day board meeting that includes new Mission and Vision statements, as well as five strategies for achieving them.

AWB has long been a leader in bringing together Washington employers and leaders, and the new plan brings those deeply held qualities of AWB to the forefront.

The new strategic plan, mission statement and vision statement were put together by a nearly 20-member group led by co-chairs Michael Senske and then-AWB Board Chair Mike Schwenk, who distilled AWB’s work into five main pillars: achieve, connect, employ, compete and a sense of place.

Now that these important pieces are in place, AWB is working on a brand refresh, including a new logo and a long-overdue remodel of the entry way and large meeting room at the AWB office.Check out this video to learn more about the new strategic plan, and read more about it in columns by Mike Schwenk and AWB President Kris Johnson in Washington Business magazine.
