2016 Year in Review B

Looking to 2017: AWB Legislative Day & Hill Climb, Spring Meeting and Policy Summit joined by some new events

As an exciting year comes to an end, and another eventful year begins, AWB will be there for employers, connecting you with your elected representatives in the state legislature and in Congress. That strong bridge-building relationship is on display Jan. 5 during our first event of the year -- AWB's legislative kick-off webinar. AWB's Government Affairs Team will explain what's ahead in the 2017 legislative session, including practical tips on how employers can help inform and shape the conversation in Olympia.

Two weeks later, on Jan. 17, we host the annual Legislative Day, which will again feature a guided Hill Climb that connects AWB members directly with their representatives and senators.

A brand new event this year, the Workforce Summit, will be held March 22 in Seattle. This summit will address generational workplace issues employers are facing as baby boomers retire and millennials and “Gen Z’s” enter the workforce and leadership roles. Rebecca Ryan, a futurist, economist, and "brain shaker," will give the keynote address.

The year continues with Spring Meeting, Regional Meetings, Policy Summit, the return of Manufacturing Day and Manufacturing Summit, Evening of Excellence, and much more.

Stay tuned for what's ahead, and thank you for being part of a record-breaking and successful 2016!
