2015 Year in Review

From AWB President Kris Johnson: A Look Back at a Year of New Endeavors, Success and a Difficult Loss

From launching Opportunity Washington and the Grassroots Alliance, to engaging lawmakers on transportation infrastructure funding and reforms and working on a new AWB strategic plan, this year has a lot of milestones. We also felt the sorrow of the unexpected loss of incoming Board chair Tom Fritz. But, we forged ahead doing what he would have wanted us to do – striving each day to make our state better for employers and employees. That meant convening people in a bipartisan manner to find solutions that allow for economic freedom and job creation that lift up and support communities, families and critical services in every part of the state. And, we’ll continue our work – amplified – into 2016 and beyond.

We hope you enjoy this special year-end edition of Fast Facts and that it gives you a sampling of all we’ve accomplished as a team, thanks to the strong support from you! From our AWB family to your family and friends, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
