OLYMPIA—A debate between Gov. Chris Gregoire and former Sen. Dino Rossi will headline this year’s 19th Annual Policy Summit, hosted by the Association of Washington Business. The gubernatorial debate will take place Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Semiahmoo Ballroom at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine. The event will be moderated by Seattle Times Chief Political Reporter David Postman.
Earlier that same day, AWB will present three other debates with candidates for statewide elected office. C.R. Douglas, host of the Seattle Channel’s ”City Inside/Out,” will moderate each of the three debates in the San Juan Ballroom, including:
11 a.m.: Lands Commissioner
1:30 p.m.: Attorney General
2:30 p.m.: Superintendent of Public Instruction
The AWB Policy Summit is a members-only event. However, the media is invited to attend all four of the debates, which will also be taped by
TVW. A special media center will be provided for conducting interviews before and after each event. Space will also be available for electronic media equipment used to record the debates.
