OLYMPIA—The Association of Washington Business is pleased to announce that Richard Davis is its new Vice President of Communications starting today. He replaces Alexis "Lex" Nepomuceno who joins Garlic Jim’s Pizza as vice president of marketing.
"We are pleased that Dick is joining our staff," AWB President Don Brunell said. "He has strong communications and research skills, which is something we need to replace Lex. Lex did an outstanding job developing our communications program and we believe that Dick will continue that momentum."
Davis comes to AWB from the Washington Research Council, where he served as president since 1986. In addition to continually improving the Council's traditional research reports on budget trends and interstate comparisons of state and local government, Davis has expanded the Washington Research Council's role in the state's policy debate. He was also a regularly featured columnist for several newspapers in Washington. Dick Davis will oversee all of AWB’s communications efforts, which includes Washington Business, its bi-monthly magazine, and Washington Business Weekly, its locally produced radio show.
