SEATTLE – Rep. Doc Hastings (R-WA 4th) will be awarded the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence today at the Association of Washington Business Board of Directors Meeting at the Renaissance Madison Hotel in Seattle.
The award is presented to members of Congress who maintain a 70 percent or better voting record on pro-growth, pro-manufacturing, and pro-worker agenda.
NAM is a non-partisan group. The awards are not meant to be an endorsement. It only serves as recognition of legislators with outstanding performance on key issues of importance to the manufacturing community.
Serving as the nation’s largest multi-industry trade association, NAM represents 14,000 member companies and subsidiaries, including more than 10,000 small and mid-sized manufacturers and 350 member associations serving Washington D.C.
