Association of Washington Business Honors Tom Lemly with Bruhn Award
Written On: October 1, 2001
OLYMPIA -- Tom Lemly, long-time chair of the AWB’s Human Resources Council, was named as the recipient of the 2001 Fred Bruhn Award.

The award was presented Thursday, September 27 at the AWB Policy Summit in Blaine by AWB President Don Brunell.

The prestigious Bruhn Award was established to honor SAFECO Senior Vice President Fred Bruhn, a long-time AWB board member and activist. It is presented annually to recognize those board members who give of themselves and their time to improve AWB and the business climate in Washington.

“Tom has been invaluable to AWB, both as a leader, board member and as a friend,” Brunell said. “His dedication to the association and its mission really stand out. Over the years, Tom not only guided our human resources policy development but served as AWB’s outside legal counsel. In addition, he organized and has chaired the annual AWB Employment Law Seminar for 15 years.”

Lemly is a partner in the Davis Wright Tremaine law firm in Seattle where he specializes in all aspects of labor law. He has served on AWB’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee over the last decade.
