SEATTLE - Association of Washington Business' General Counsel, Kris Tefft, will join a panel of business representatives at a 9:00 a.m. press conference on Tuesday, November 1, to discuss his organization's support of Initiative 330 (I-330).
AWB and the panel will hold the press conference in the offices of the Washington State Hospital Association, 300 Elliott Avenue West, in Seattle. This press conference immediately precedes an I-330 campaign event.
The following business community leaders will join Kris Tefft at the conference:
- Steve Mullin, president of the Washington Roundtable; - Tim Harris, general counsel for the Building Industry Association of Washington; - Carolyn Logue, state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, and; - Cliff Webster, chair of the Liability Reform Coalition.
The purpose of the press conference is to discuss the importance of medical liability in creating a thriving economic climate in Washington.
“The goal of most employers is to provide the best health care coverage possible, but with double-digit increases from year to year, provision of health care benefits is a serious challenge,” Tefft said. “I-330’s proven reforms are a critical step toward the goal of ensuring access to quality care for the citizens of Washington.”
