TACOMA—Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna will join Washington Business Weekly, AWB’s weekly radio program on Tacoma station 1180 AM, to discuss how identity theft affects businesses and how the attorney general’s office is working to resolve the issue. Also on the broadcast is a discussion of the upcoming Gallo decision from the Washington State Supreme Court. The broadcast will air Thursday July 7, from 11 to noon.
“This week’s broadcast will assist businesses and consumers with the ever-increasing problem of identity theft,” AWB President Don Brunell said. “The attorney general’s office has worked hard to lessen the burden of identity theft victims, but it remains to be a huge problem that people need to be aware of.”
Terry Corbell will host Thursday’s program and will discuss the issues of identity theft with the attorney general and AWB’s general counsel, Kris Tefft. Next week on the program, John Hempelmann from Cairncross and Hempelmann, PS will discuss Washington’s overcomplicated permitting system, how it deters new economic development, and what the Legislature needs to accomplish to ease the regulatory burden.
AWB will be streaming the broadcast on its Web site, www.awb.org, starting July 8.
