Oregon Adopts California Emissions Standards, Washington Standards Now Become Enforceable
Washington's new emissions standards for cars and light trucks – based on California’s standards - have become enforceable after Oregon officially adopted the same rules last week. Gov. High-Tech Tolls are Coming to Washington’s Highways
A Washington Dept. of Transportation report on highway and bridge tolls calls for tolling through scanners that remotely read chips embedded in window stickers and electronically bill motorists. For more information, see www.wstc.wa.gov.
Dept. of Revenue Rule Action on Intangible Personal Property
DOR has introduced a draft rule affecting intangible personal property taxation. AWB will provide comments. Many family-owned businesses have dealt with the death tax in the last year since the Gov. Gregoire signed it into law in 2005. Please let us know your experiences with this tax.
