Murray Chosen for U.S. Senate Majority Leadership
Sen. Patty Murray, who is in her third term, was named secretary of the Democratic caucus, replacing Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich. The secretary's job is the fourth-ranking post in the Senate hierarchy, behind Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., caucus vice chairman. The four senators will serve as a de facto board of directors.

Ecology Amending Air Quality Rules for New Sources – Learn More December 4th at AWB
The Washington Dept. of Ecology is in the initial stages of amending its regulations on new sources of toxic pollutants, found in Chapter 173-460 WAC. The regulation establishes requirements addressing best available control technology for toxics, toxic air pollutant emissions quantification, and human health and safety protection. Staff from Ecology will present this information to AWB’s Air Quality Committee on Dec. 4 at 11:00 a.m. regarding the draft rule. For more information, contact Grant Nelson at
