Time is Running Out on Class Action Fairness – Urge Cantwell and Murray to Bring S. 2062 to a Vote!
AWB is strongly urging Washington’s Democrat Senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray to push Senator Tom Daschle (D-South Dakota), minority leader, and Senator Bill Frist (R-Tennessee), majority leader to end the political maneuvering and pass S. 2062—legislation restoring fairness to class action lawsuits—this year. The bill failed vote for cloture (end a threatened filibuster) in the United States Senate late last week. Sen. Cantwell can be contacted via phone at (202) 224-3441, fax at (202) 228-0514 or e-mail at maria@cantwell.senate.gov or www.cantwell.senate.gov/contact/index.html. Sen. Murray can be contacted at (202) 224-2621, fax (202) 224-0238 or e-mail at senator_murray@murray.senate.gov.
