I-841 Gathers Steam - Repeal of Ergonomics Rules Needs Your Support!
Initiative 841, which would eliminate Washington’s burdensome ergonomics rules, is gaining strength and support. U.S. Senate Sidesteps Opening ANWR - Tell Senators Murray and Cantwell Not to Lock Out Energy Development!Although the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill calling for opening a tiny portion of Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to energy exploration, S. 14, the Senate’s Energy Bill, so far does not include any provisions for opening ANWR. The American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) awarded Washington Business Magazine an Award of Merit for 2002 which is like winning a bronze medal in the Olympics. Also receiving an Award of Merit for 2002 was WashACE (Washington Alliance for a Competitive Economy), formed by AWB, the Washington Roundtable and Washington Research Council to promote competitiveness.
