The Association of Washington Business is presenting a series of Community Service Awards to recognize our members' volunteerism and contributions which make our communities better places to live and work.
The Community Service Awards will be presented during a special dinner held in conjunction with the May 21 Association of Washington Business Annual Spring Meeting in Spokane . The Award nomination deadline is Friday- April 18, 2008.
Awards are divided into classifications for large, medium and small businesses. You may submit entries for projects that support education, youth organizations, community beautification projects, community organizations that help people in need or programs recognizing volunteerism. Finally, there is a special general category for projects which mobilize communities into action.

As part of the Community Service Awards, we are accepting nominations for the third annual Bruce Briggs Award.
The late Bruce Briggs, owner of Briggs Nursery, really made a difference in Olympia . In his honor, we recognize AWB members who show a similar level of devotion to serving their community.
